  1. Leslie, You are very welcome, weekend went well and very positive comments have been received - a big thank you to our sponsors - Irish Railway Models , to all the trade and exhibitors and the general public for attending - all the traders were happy with the weekend which is good to hear. To Last Lap Cafe for feeding the public - this went down a storm. , as we were not able to provide refreshments to the public in previous years. I have made my list of improvements for the next show in 2025. Thank you to everyone who have supported our show over the years. Paul Reynolds Event Manager

  5. yes - the add was filmed at our clubhouse (South Dublin Model Railways) over two days - you were not dreaming - for the short glimpse at the start of the add there was a huge entourage involved in the production. The production company wanted to make it as generic as possible.
  6. Date for your diaries - list of trade and exhibitors will be provided in due course once all potential participants have been contacted and have confirmed attendance,
  7. The 'Please do not Bend' envelopes he uses have not been subject to Customs charges for me anyway and he does have the customs sticker on them.
  8. South Dublin Model Railway Club will be attending with Kildare Station - we will be beside 'Meadhb' on the day.
  9. exactly and before being rebranded to 'IFI' they carried the 'NET' lettering - same colour scheme.
  10. Yes they did but the pallets were always shrunk wrapped with white plastic sheet with the Orange and blue NET logo.
  11. Morning Raymond, Kildare Station will be at Cultra so see you then
  12. I buy containers from CRail regularly and there is no issue with them being posted to Ireland - there is no hassle and I have not been hit by any extra custom charges since Brexit, top service from Arran. Thanks Paul R
  13. this was back in the day when mechanization was not top of the agenda, there was plenty of labourer's on farms back then and Health and Safety were not as stringent as it is today so lots of this type of work was done by hand.
  14. For beet growers it was, fertilizer would be delivered to local stations for farmers to collect and spread on beet ground in the spring, at home we collected our fertilizer from the station in Tullamore. This then changed in later years 70's and 80's to being delivered directly to the farm by truck and unloaded bag by bag off the truck I might add!
  15. Thanks Warb, Yep that was my Grand Hibernian - unfortunately Kildare is not long enough to run the full train, had the remaining two coaches in the box on the day. PR
