Dunluce Castle
Kinder egg plastic shells on a dapol chassis?
UP6936
Apparently a kinder egg and a Dapol prestwin is the easiest way to go about it. Not sure if the new, hinged eggs work though.

Warbonnet
I am after I spray it with primer May as well do the panels before the primer, otherwise you'll be priming the roof again.

Seanw12
Anyone know what's the best thing to make a small hill on my layout?
BosKonay
Polystyrene packing / extruded foam works well, you can carve it to shape with a breadknife and then cover it with modroc (plaster impregnated fabric). Depending on the size, you can also scrunch up newspaper / waste card and cover it with the modroc too...

Dave
Hi Sean, I use pink foam available from Woodies for €9.99 a sheet of 1200mm x 600mm x 60mm deep. Glue it together with PVA and shape it with a carving knife. You can paint it dark green then apply scenery.
BosKonay
That looks brilliant Dave. Do you apply paint and scenery direct to the foam?
