Eamon,  I like your foam model holder, very practical.

That's the Peco locomotive holding unit allowing repairs etc. Very useful alright.

Your modelling is very impressive, a question off subject. What heights are your embankments raised?
I have to do the same job soon, my bridges were 12' clearance underneath so I reckoned on around 60-70mm to top of trackbed.

I am not sure,as I just matched the height of the embankment to the bridge.

Realistic? Them's the cleanest looking trees I've ever seen, no mind the wagons :)

Superb stuff though, despite my poor attempt at humour.Rich.

I don' know yet if I will put a load in.

The inevitable slight variations in a kit-built rake can often be a great advantage when depicting hard-worked wagons.

It's hard to replicate rough usage in a run of factory-produced items.

Has anybody tried millet seeds as beets? They should be available in health food shops and even pet food outlets. There has been a tendency for the seeds to get bigger as selective breeding heads in that direction. Might be best to inspect before buying, where possible.

Maybe worth a look?

Hi Guys

Someone some time back posted on here or elsewhere- they used a seed for beets, after in storage they found it went mouldy and made a bit of a mess of the models! I'd try and use something inorganic......

Lovely work, lovely train

Very tidy job Eamonn. Looking good. Hope there is some Blu-Tack under to stop them falling off the hand rail. :)

Just finished a Provincial wagons side opening container.I used a Dapol Prestwin kit for the chassis, along with extra detail from Dart castings which include buffers and draw hooks. The Prestwin chassis is a bit short in length, but I am happy enough with it.
