thewanderer
Afternoon all, One year to the day since the first set was withdrawn from passenger service, the first of the refurbished Enterprise trains returns to service. It worked the 0800 Belfast Central - Dublin Connolly and 1100 Dublin Connolly - Belfast Central. The project team aim to return sets 2 and 3 to service at two week intervals from today. Noel
I have pictures from the launch in this thread: http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/5092-The-Enterprise-returns-to-service Thanks for posting those. Looks really nice inside. Especially the business service coach. I looks like all the coaches have window blinds. Pity Irish Rail no longer have a decent business service on the Cork line. I presume the photo on slide 6 is the DVT.
jhb171achill
That is a serious improvement. Guess I'll have to try it!
Railer
That is a serious improvement. Guess I'll have to try it! I wouldn't just yet. The set suffered a failure yesterday and again today. Yesterday was 8208 suffering from very bad wheel flats so the loco had to be removed. I don't know what todays failure was.

NIRCLASS80
That new coat of paint should have fixed everything!!!!!!
jhb171achill
I knew it. Stick on the REAL 207 - a blue 4.4.0, and some brown wooden carriages with a GNR crest on them. That'll do the trick. Never mind these tin tubes in gaudy colours......
Noel
No wonder the French, German and Swiss railways have such good reputations.
