Internal Baseboard Corners

Where baseboards meet at internal corners it is quite common to add small triangles to carry the curve of the trackwork. 

Surely it would look better to cut the baseboard top to the curve of the track leaving enough for ballast and some margin of safety?

The choice is yours but it may be easier to triangulate than to cut the curve particularly whatever needs to support the inner edge?
