  3. Great to see all the various liveries represented will be getting supertrain and Black and tan liveries . The only A class missing is supertrain liveried 001 with highlighted front numbers and black roof covers as ran with the early supertrain Mk2's , wonder if this maybe added in the future .

  5. We probably will do it in a future run if demand is there, we didn’t want to do A1 twice in the same rn as we’re already doing her in silver of course, but nothing to stop a future run!

  9. I think thing about this was that locomotive 001's cab-front numbers were unlike those shaded numbers that were applied later to other A Classes and GMs; possibly unique as the shaded part was an unusual peach colour with a bolder shadow and was applied, along with the black roof, as part of the inaugural Supertrain livery, making 001 easily recognisable (the numbers sort of jump out!) compared to the other locomotives which got shaded numbers as the fleet were gradually repainted from 1972 onward.

  11. Hi Robert. I used Tamiya XF-18 on the bodies and chassis's on my cement wagons.I later repainted the chassis's black as I felt they looked better when weathered. As far as I can remember the curtain was done in Revell 52 gloss blue. The XF-8 that you have there looks ok to me, but as always with these things you don't really know until the colour is applied.

  18. A new addition to the motive power fleet at Tara junction is a Sulzer 101 B class locomotive-(thanks to Wrenneire.) 107 is seen here shunting the IRM two axle bulk cement wagons into position for unloading at the Lakeview freight yard, 107 is confined to shunting duties at the freight yard a duty it is sharing with 161. It is fitted with an eight pin Zen DCC chip with a stay alive capacitor and runs well, even at a slow speed, The locomotive is in Supertrain colours and I have given it a light weathering to the body and bogies.

  20. Stay with the programme Jim!!! Members 1,291 5,388 posts Report post Posted Wednesday at 02:33 PM Hi guys, We have just received an update on the Tara Wagons and their progress. Sadly it has been slower than initially promised, and naturally we are upset about it. We're getting a timely reminder about why we usually use airfreight, but mother nature has slowed progress down, coupled with the time of year and the sheer volume
