So I'd guess they've either landed and cleared customs, or are close to doing so.
If only we knew somebody like @Georgeconna who could snoop around behind the scenes!
We don't do Supply Chain or brokerage for IRM so of no help their sorry. TBH could not say anyhow if we did...

Probably will be keenly priced every couple of months from now I expect. The same ol stuff gets peddled out fairly frequently these days.

Watched the Vid and the model looks fab.
I had an old Hornby one from the 1970's that would survive a nuke,I can still smell the motor!!
The detail is pretty awesome on this, Just wonder if the Etch footsteps and lamp irons etc are Glued or fitted into slots for Clumsy hands like myself!
It takes me back to a trip with my Dad to Warley and then the day after to the SVR for a spin. A pannier 5764 turned up with 7 Mk.1 coaches. I sniggered at the little Loco, We boarded for the last service from Brignorth as twilight fell and we were about 2 coached back from the loco, By god the little Beast put in a massive performance with sparks flying from the Chimney, a sight and sound I will never forget.
I could be tempted if this loco pops out at some stage, just missed it by 10 as 5754 is being released.
hope this does well for you. 2024 for the Southern release then LOL!!

Hey George
The €9.95 is vat exclusive and we do provide free EU post when you spend over €100 so you should have saved the €5.95 and then just effectively paid the vat on entry (making it all the same as if you were in the UK). Unfortunately we just can’t subsidize the postage on smaller spends and even €5.95 is well below cost.
Thanks Boskany thats perfectly understood. Its the non benefit of Brexit that is pushing unrealistic cost on modellers.
Not an AS issue, DPD charging VAT on the Brokerage fee. AFAIK should not be doing so. Going through the motions with DPD now.
If any one fancys a Manor best get them here to avoid customs messing.

2 hours ago, Flying Snail said:Thats a separate issue @irishmail - I'm talking about the VAT DPD charge for DPD's own Customs Brokerage Service (and I believe @Georgeconna is too).
EDIT: I've edited my previous post just now to make this a little clearer. Apologies for any confusion
No Me tis a Buddy of mine, Not way I'd pay that sort of money for 2 Figures!! Grand price on their own but all the custom malarkey pushed it beyond sensible.
Again no fault of AS. As Stephen says order the Figs with the locos and get them with Free postage.

Back to this ol chestnut again
A buddy of mine informed me he
"bought a crew for my new Manor last week. Price €9.95 plus €5.95 P & P."
Notice from dpd yesterday. VAT €3.67 Brokerage €5.00. Vat on brokerage €1.15. Total €25.72.The end price is pretty ridiculous for 2 figures. I know AS have their reasons for not having these on the EU site but a cost like that is crazy.AFAIK there should be no VAT on Brokerage Services either so are DPD chancing their arm here.- 1

Yes, Anything but 4-4-0 as they are generally awful runners. No 4 or x60 tender locos
Well if they are like the Hornby Schools Class you cant go wrong, Absolutely the best running locos I have steam wise, they glide along but know what you mean though they show up every undulation. Oxford's Adam Tank was woeful.

Medium term I would not rule out an IRM J15 given how numerous they were.
Yep, OO works was limited in numbers. As good as it was for its time a proper one, Slightly more affordable with DCC Sound, Controllable Lamp lights, Flicker in the Firebox, Animated crew with wave and a bit more finesse would be great, or anything in Blue!!

You never know At least one of the new tools underway at irm towers is steamy.
Excellent news. Looking forward to that! Sound one duly ordered already in the head.
36 minutes ago, DJ Dangerous said:Was just gonna say, there's been a lot of speculation over the past year or so on what the first IRM steamer will be.
The first Accurascale steamer, the Manor Class, is mind blowing. I don't have a controller to do the loco justice, but the slow speed DC running and sensitivity to introducing current is top class.
Whether it's a GSR 800 or a J15 or something else, we're in for a real treat:
My Buddy bought a Manor from IRM at the show, Bargain price too, I dithered too much given that it was GWR, Looking forward to seeing his one go!

Thanks, Niles. I've emptied a boxful of each to date at The Show (close on a hundred wagons). Paul Daly (great exhibition Paul, thanks) came by and removed the empty cartons. He'd earlier bought a couple of the wagons himself.
Down to about twenty "Broken Wheels".
Thanks to all who dropped by and said "Hi" and have made a little investment.

By original, do you mean the ST models or the IE models?
Too bright, as in too much yellow in the mix?
To Redish as Sean Says, Could of been the Leds in the Cabinet and the fact the internals were not coloured too.

Never had a problem with "chunky tension locks". Should be more of them IMHO.
True that but they are certainly 70's style now.

I thought it was way too bright. Maybe as the interior was orange too. Did not see Paddy so did anyone ask if the couplings had been improved. I suspect not.
