Thanks, Niles. I've emptied a boxful of each to date at The Show (close on a hundred wagons). Paul Daly (great exhibition Paul, thanks) came by and removed the empty cartons. He'd earlier bought a couple of the wagons himself.
Down to about twenty "Broken Wheels".
Thanks to all who dropped by and said "Hi" and have made a little investment.

By original, do you mean the ST models or the IE models?
Too bright, as in too much yellow in the mix?
To Redish as Sean Says, Could of been the Leds in the Cabinet and the fact the internals were not coloured too.

Never had a problem with "chunky tension locks". Should be more of them IMHO.
True that but they are certainly 70's style now.

I thought it was way too bright. Maybe as the interior was orange too. Did not see Paddy so did anyone ask if the couplings had been improved. I suspect not.

Well Chunky Tension locks on the Diagram. Maybe thats a clue to the tooling.

Anyone know if the coupling tension lock arrangements have been improved? notorious for uncoupling due to the Springing action

Dettol. thing is it rightly expensive and hopefully that paint is enamel.
Depends on the Resin too so be careful.
or: CARSON PAINT REMOVER 100ML | TAMIYA ACRYLIC PAINT | PAINTS / ADHESIVES | Catalogue | MarksModels
Note Vid below is for Plastic. I used the method recently. Took Ages, Messey and parts smelt of Dettol for and age afterwards.

Have two of these cast iron Signal Spectacle holders with arms, you would not want them posted, they weight a fair bit.

I modified the ESU file to allow consist nose to nose running with all marker and headlights on the noses switched off as per the prototype. The red marker lights can also be switched off when hauling a train. If you have a Lokprogrammer this stuff is fairly trivial. As for the sound, I think the HiFi ESU files sound really good but I guess it's all a matter of taste.
With the Z21 you can do this from your handset, no mucking about but fair play.

Another nice Addition to the AS range.
Thankfully I have more than enough of Baccy ones I got for a Tennor each some time back will do me and I do love them going around in a long rake.

Well that's that then.
Original concept was not going to work for exhibitions being a one man band plus the cabin was too damp in the end.
I had some interest in people to buy the layout but the hassle was not worth the time so all the track and gubbins were stripped.
So I have invested in the installation of a 30x10ft shed which hopefully will house a permanent layout in a 20x10ft section (still wondering why though given the crazy cost of modelling these days) and an office / Modelling section in a separate partitioned 10x10ft section. All insulated inside. coming soon!
I hope to re-use the base boards for a 8 x 2 ft Austrian HOe layout.
Cabin has gone off to its second life as a tool shed.

Look really good. It wold be nice to see some a video of the running qualities Videos over points etc to see the couplings interact etc.?

I won't be doing the sound mod. I'm not able to tell enough of a difference to make it worth the hassle. The lighting mod will be performed on all mine though.
It seemed a be Throaty-er in the Vid TBH. The Loco engine sound emiteed is a bit flat wise when compare the the other Irish sound options. However I won't be jumping to do the Mod either.

The speaker configuration has been developed with EsU with the large tangband at 4 Ohms and the loksound and pcb working together. Bypassing the config and hooking the large speaker directly to the chip will most likely blow the speaker and definitely void your warranty , just for the record!
Stephen, Can I ask how come the Lighting issue went through quality check and not mentioned upon release, don't these all get signed off with a signature sheet but were not 100% correct?
If there is a new release I suspect the wiring will be corrected?
