Over three decades since entering service, a Mark 2D set is shunted into Platform 1 at Heuston North by 146 for a Friday only service to Limerick.
Good variety in a Mark 2D set incl. Standard, Composite, former First Class, Restaurant and EGV- who said 'modern' formations are dull (5211, 5157, 5102, 5227, 5224, 5210, 5401, 5602)

Yes- well spotted! I think it definitely benefitted from the extra weathering on top of the factory bit!!

I’ve never thought that brick built homes from between the wars, nor tidy hedgerowed farm buildings much resembled anything Irish tbh
Agreed- that is my problem!
Everything l see looks too 'English'.
I can't locate anything that resembles lrish Apartment blocks, Houses or even modern Offices so any suggestions are very welcome.....

They were still on the go over the last couple of years but rare enough- usually one or so on any one train.
@MOGUL would no doubt know exact dates?

Only saw this now- looks good really l think.
Always a fan of the rare sightings of the Dong Fang!

Good call on the composite instead of a standard. Bit more variety to the train.
I used to not be a fan of the Mark 2D Composite but in later times grew to love it in a rake
You're right- it adds variety- usually a different shade of orange and more 'battered' than the rest!!

Hi.
Looking for any 'modern' (1990's / 2000's) OO Scale lrish style Apartment buildings / Houses?
Doesn't matter if it is card kit, actual buildings or whatever but can't seem to locate any that look similar to what you would see around Dublin or any lrish city over the last 20 / 30 years?
Any ideas?
Cheers
