Mike' date=' did you say the front buffer plate and curved supports were made of styrene? Wonderful stuff indeed. Great to see more high quality kettles on IRM.[/quote']
Glenderg;sorry I have not replied sooner but this pensioner has been boosting his spending power;more trucking!! thought I had seen the last of the bloody things.
The front buffer plank and footplate back to a line level with the front of the smokebox saddle are from a Dapol Prairie tank. I cut the tapered frame pieces from plasticard. If you look at the earlier blog you can see the additions as they are white or any other colour but black!
The plastic that Bachmann use is very soft and marks easily. I had"nt realized this till I took the photos, so there are bits I shall work on again. The major problem for me Is the Chimney and smokebox door as neither look very Inchicore.

Nice one Mike' date=' any background info on the models?[/quote']
Thanks for your comments Warbonnet, I was so euphoric over getting photos on site that I forgot captions! I am not very computer literate. Will do better next time.
The loco in primer is my bash of a Bachman V1 to get a reasonable impression of 850 it ha moved on since I took the pictures so maybe I should post more?
The Colorado Midland baggage car & coach are Sparrows Division Point kits. Laser cut wood, peel and stick construction I liked making them.
The other baggage car is a Silver Crash Co kit. This guy just does limited runs of stock he wants for his own use and sells the extras!! They are resin castings and are not so easy to put together as they look. Check out his website some good stuff on it.
The Santa Fe hopper is a ? no idea kit! but I bought it at a swop meet for£3 for the trucks but I thought that it had survived for so long, so I put more details on and when I have blended the paint job in, old with new it will be ok.

Hi David,is it your intention to take the finished layout on the exhibition circuit? I ask "cos the base board looks like modular construction. Keep up the good work.
