Pardon my ignorance on these matters Richard. £330 (400euro?) for a loco just struck me as a bit high, so I apologise if I have spoken out of turn. Maybe the fact that it is 00 works? Probably should have kept my thoughts to myself.🥴

No worries at all. As Flying Snail says, pretty much going rate for 00Works,  esp. one which you can finish to suit.

  2. Hi all,

I'm thinning out my collection, and have the following available. All prices are ex post. Please PM me for details and to note, I'm UK based, so whilst I'm happy to post elsewhere, one to note in the postage costs....

GNRi Y5 van. My own 3d print. £55. Van now SOLD.

Judith Edge Kit for a Harland and Woolf 0-6-0 DM, NCC No.22. Etches and resin parts only, excludes wheels/motor £48. Kit now SOLD

I now also have a 21mm gauge E class diesel for sale. This uses the Valve design body (With plasticard overlays), as well as a custom built Bullant chassis to the correct wheelbase - please note that regaining this isn't easy. £130.

The photo above was taken by Richard Ellis Hobbs who came by with Robert Shrives.

The Warley Display case included three Provincial wagons double beet wagons built by Robert.

Just 232 of these wagons now running on layouts around the globe! Thanks Robert.

(Further Irish interest on the shelf below I see!).

Other visitors included the esteemed  Mr Murphy and Andy Cundick who was showing his new layout "Llanfair Caereinion" - The Welshpool line as it was under GWR ownership in the 1930s. See next post.

Great to see you Leslie, & Robert, as well as meet you Darius! All in all, a great weekend, seemed like we've never been away, but of course, we've lost some good friends over the last three years.

    Richard.

  4. Hi all,

Looking forward to catching up with friends this weekend at Warley. I'll be helping on stand A, but when not there, will be over at Inver, which has had a lot of work done on it by the club in tribute to it's creator, John Seward, a great friend to Irish Railways at Warley show, and more widely, over the years, or the IRRS stand.

    Here's to a great weekend!

  5. Yep, sorry about that - hence why I put the note up front about it so expectations are right at the start. I know there are UK based modellers on the forum, including me, so we shall see if there's any interest in it. I'm in no rush to part with it, but if anyone is interested, do let me know.

  6. Hi all,

I've one A class surplus to requirements, A30, in silver, mint, boxed, test run only. Happy to provide photos if required.

£169.99 + postage at cost. (I'm UK based so please bear in mind any extra postage costs as a result of our self imposed exile from friends (- sorry about that....!))

    Cheers for now!

    Richard.

  7. These two are looking great, really good work! Never seen a mogul done like this before, so watching with interest!

When I did my jeep (described on here a few years ago, the lining was the nightmare for me - the straw and red UTA lining is really difficult to get right. I ended up doing the straw first, light coat of varnish, and then the red inner line which seemed to work ok, but was really difficult to do. Needless to say, I couldn't find a source of transfers that would do the job.

for my later BCDR tank, James Hilton finished the painting and lining for me, link here:

  9. Afternoon all!

Had picked this up via the earlier thread on this, below. I think that one of the GNR six wheelers does suit a GNRi Q3 as well as a few others as listed. It's great that Hattons are mulling things over for the irish market - I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do with these models!

    Cheers for now!

    Richard
