  1. Great to have the RPSI diesel outing back, with the East to West railtour yesterday. The day started with 071 on duty arriving into Connolly hauling the Cravens. 081 took over from here, as we headed to Dundalk. It was then back to Connolly, where 071 resumed duties for the trip West to Galway. And finally, back to Dublin. As always, a fantastic day out.
  2. Lifting the shell is the easy part. Removing the interior of the cab isn't as straight forward.
  3. Looks great, Noel. That has really improved what was already a fantastic model. I ordered two sets of these a few years back. But after numerous broken promises, gave up in the end. Pity.
  4. Brilliant stuff. Looks the business.
  5. As I said, it's a personal choice, and if someone wants something that much, fair play to them. I can think of worse things to be spending it on.
  6. Got to agree Mr D. They are all great models, but nowhere near what some are forking out for them. It's none of my business what someone wants to spend their hard earned on, and I understand people missed out when these were released first, but personally, I just wouldn't pay it. I think the most I paid for an 071 in the past was €170, to a member on here. And even then, they were getting harder to pick up.
  7. As Eoin's step by step guide above shows, it can be done. I've fitted figures to 3 of my 121's, and if I'm honest, it probably wasn't worth the hassle. 133 with driver...
  8. Right, this is just getting weird now.
  9. Well, other than you referring to them as peat briquettes numerous times. And the Lima version.. a door stop, if I'm not mistaken.
  10. Ah yes, the classic combo. I'm well known for my love of both at family gatherings. Although, anyone standing within two feet of me tend to disperse as the night goes on. Can't think why.
  11. What a great shot of B141 arriving.
  12. Lovely model, Noel. I've got the older DAF with the refrigerated trailer. Must keep my eye out for this.
  13. As far as I can remember, the kit is designed to have working hinges. I've just added these as a cosmetic detail.
  14. Decided to add a little more detail to my SSM crossing gates, earlier today. First job, was to cut four new pillars to the size required. Supports and hinges were then added to two of the four pillars. Then, it was on to painting. Job done.
  15. That's an impressive collection of BELL containers, Noel.
  16. Class shot, Jonathan. Love it.
  17. Looks great with the Ballast wagons.
  18. Fantastic result. Loving the small details added. The redundant point rodding and trunking look the business.
  19. Nice weathering on the 121, Jonathan. Another, from @Dempsey?
  20. That just looks, so right. Really bulks up the appearance of the loco. Very impressive.
