  1. Picked up a couple of these packs today. Really nice models. These two, I really like.

They have a light dusting applied which definitely tones them down. I'll eventually add a little more weathering when I get a chance. I think some rust etc will look really well on these.

Great stuff, Noel. The 121's hauling cement have always been a favourite of mine.

They are pretty cool but in reality once warmed up most diesels don't produce these huge plumes of smoke at high revs. The water vapour generation would need more complex control to be realistic, fading out as the revs increased, back in at medium revs then out again at idle. Only a cold engine would typically belch smoke throughout the rev range. Simply coupling the sound frequency to the generation rate may not work that well. The water also has to land back on the layout so that's something to bear in mind.

Great stuff, Rob. Love this shot looking over the fence, with the container yard in background. Perfect.

Really like this shot looking towards the station building. It's rare to see it viewed from this angle. Brilliant stuff, as always.

If you ever decide that you need to move an Atlantean off-site to make way for a new arrival.

That's a really nice gesture, Dave. I'd also like to volunteer my time and space for this worthwhile cause.

The basic rule of thumb for Irish models and IRM is simple enough though I would assume....more or less everything will be done eventually, certainly anything that existed in numbers in real life. The one offs are the most difficult to justify but at least of you decide to scratch build a one off you will only make one and not a rake or something. Anything you could conceivably make a rake of I would suggest will eventually be covered by IRM and to keep your powder dry, unless you enjoy making stuff. In which case there's no harm done.

Agree completely. If it's viable, it will eventually be released. More patience and less speculation is what's needed.
