Sad to hear this news along with the Hatton's closure,
I first attended Warley in 2012 and returned there eight times-last year being the now final visit, I really enjoyed my visits,
I hope the new Model world Live will be a successful replacement in April,
Roll on Model rail Scotland, lets hope this one continues.....
Fully agree Noel, I;ve been going to Warley for the past twenty years, maybe see you at Glasgow or Model world Live if your attending

Saddened to hear Hattons are closing down. I've dealt with them since 1978 when I bought my first point and electric point motor from them and had many, many orders since, they'll be missed.

Hi everyone, just a quick update on the layout. I have been putting this on the back burner for a while and finally picked up the nerve to give it a go, having watched several videos, this is the results so far. There is still lots to do to the river and the waterfalls to achieve the finish i'm after. The pictures show the last two days attempts thus far. Enjoy

Hi All
A further update showing the latest additions to the fleet, A rake of Dapol modified tanks to x 13 molasses tanks pulled by 036 revealing 8 new MIR bogie ballast wagons. I’ve also replaced the dummy signals on the station side with new working colour light signals made from brass rod, strip, wire and ladders with the 3 aspect heads from Berko and Railtech, ground shunt, theatre and route indicators, hoping to connect to the panel this weekend. Some pictures showing the changes to the yard too with two new hoists, fuel point and tank in place. I have to thank Geoff Johnston for providing the old style NIR logos for the two blue hunsletts all three hunslets are are running well with sound added to all three, There is also some pics showing the inside of the signal box and shed. Enjoy TDR

Great fight scene, that's a rough pub.
I have been looking around for some Police figures, can I ask where you got yours please?
Hi Popeye there are two sets both from the same seller on ebay, one set Bachmann 33104, the other
prieser 10799. seller is UDIOW. Both sets were repainted. Hope this helps. TDR

Excellent all round.
Love the Scrap Yard, but it does bring a tear to the eye.
Fond memories of days gone bye !It was an idea i had for two old Q kits that had become brittle and started showing signs of cracks, so rather than bin them i thought of placing them in a scrap yard TDR

Hi All, just a quick update with some pictures, I’ve spent the last 6 months, making, modifying, detailing and painting many, many bits and pieces. Today I started placing some of these on the layout starting with the town area, road works, bar fight, police check point on railway bridge and a loco scrap yard, much more has to be done in these areas , but its a start, I will also be adding several more in the next few weeks to other areas too, Some pictures contain loco Surgery LOL enjoyTDR

Love the "troubles" stuff! At the 25th anniversary of the GFA, a timely reminded of how far we've moved away from all that...........
Totally agree, jhb171achill, the police/military wagons are to be included into a vintage vehicle show on the layout. TDR

Hi All, A very busy period getting some more details ready for the layout, including AWS ramps, warning cones and barriers, clocks and chairs for the signal box interior, gas cylinders. Some military and police vehicles for a vintage show diorama, and a rake of 13 Premier Mollasses wagons, will post more pics when placed on layout. TDR

Hi All, anyone using liquid poly for joining plasticard, reserve a small amount in a small jar with lid, add plastic scraps and cut up waste pieces and add to liquid poly leave overnight then stir when required, makes liquid plastic to fill any gaps in plastic kits/joints.
