With the assistance of Eoin Murray, I have commenced a bench-top layout [out and back], loosely based on Greystones Station. This is the only part of the Dart which is an electrified and single track main, hence my interest. The photographs show work in progress. I am indebted to Dave Lindfield for the construction of the baseboard. The Dart. The newly completed baseboard. Photocopied templates used to determine layout.

Here is a completed 8100 Class DART in Gauge N for a customer, it's the first one from the workshop after several months of mould making and trial-n-error. This one is on a Tomix chassis but the next ones will be on my own chassis with more DART like under frame gubbins- though the Tomix aren't half bad- just hard to get..... Directional lights work by using fibre optic wires from the LEDs on the chassis The model has pretty much the same detail as my Gauge OO DART model- NS handrails, roof vents, screen wipers, horn...... Just a few small touch-ups requ

Does anyone know where I can get photos of the roof detail of the DART 8500 or 8600 series. A trawl of the internet has provide a number of partial views as well as a video which shows some details. I am intending converting a Class 350 EMU to a DART. I have good photos of the front but photos showing the roof for each of the 4 cars are more elusive. Any information greatly appreciated MikeO
