Brilliant as always' date='great stories great layout. John[/quote']

Thank you John-r,

Another Sunday afternoon in the busy MPD sees three Mk2 air braked coaches being shunted into the shed by loco 201 for their annual brake test and examination,

The shed foreman instructs the forklift driver to drop the pallet load of brake blocks at each bogie so make things easier for the depot staff on Monday morning.

Supertrain Sunday sees 087 pass 084 with a down express,

152 is the carriage pilot loco,

Over on the left 085 has charge of the pallet cement liner and 181+166 wait with the ammonia in the loop to allow an up Mk3 passenger overtake.

Transfers are from the Railtec range.

Friday night freight on Tara junction sees from the right 7071 haul the DFDS CPW liner,7077 haul the IWT liner,

7078 the empty timber and 7080 operating light engine to collect the HOBS train,

On the left in the distance at the MPD 7076 is getting fuel, oil and water-it will be sent out on a trial run in the morning and if all goes well I'll allocate it to the Sperry train for a few days.

Ok I'll bite, Noel, being one for accuracy when to comes to liveries has 080 become the newest member of the slate club for real?

Yes Railer-the real 080 has received the bodywork overhaul and is soon to enter the paint shop at Inchicore for the slate grey livery to be applied,

Thanks Andy,Kieran and Eamonn

Afternoon gentlemen,

I see its three years ago today since I started this thread about Tara junction,

Time flies when your having fun...

Thank you to all who have contributed to this thread....

I'm after moving house and getting married...!!!

I'm delighted to say that herself granted planning permission for the NEW model railway room which is 14'x10'

Work has been taken place over the last few weeks building baseboards etc and moving Tara jctn to its new home,

As I've increased space it has really given me lots of options including a new lower level which I initially plan to have some storage yards and ultimately a small end to end branch line beneath the main layout-both levels will be connected,

The upper level will have a variation of Claremorris station at one side-(with some minor alterations),a MPD at another side,a DMU and carriage depot opposite that and of course a small freight terminal,

Like Tara jct.-I aim to be able to operate four trains at the one time while being able to shunt freight/passenger coaches in the various sidings,

Having been bitten by the DCC bug-it will be operated by that system,

As I said above its early days and of course I'll be posting updates as work progresses.

Good morning gentlemen,

A progress report from the new Tara jctn,

All track has been connected and currently I have a six coach CIE super train Mk2 set and an Enterprise EGV conducting gauge clearance work

I expect to have power connected over the weekend and have some loco hauled movements early next week.
