Seeing these pics I was inspired to recreate the scene on my own work in progress layout. I took these last time I was home 2 weeks ago and then forgot my camera when I went back to work. There is no

Apparently, Ballymun gets other references, too - if you want to make a rather specialist kids' layout, beyond the inevitable Thomas one...

Does it happen every 25 years or so?😉 here's a Graham Roose slide from 25 October 1995

I think it might be a bit more frequent than that - I seem to remember a photo with a submarine 'shopped' into it just a few years ago.

I was thinking that it would make a nice diorama for someone who doesn't like wiring or making 21mm track.

As an aside to the joke in '78 I was working in the Ordnance Survey ( a junior cartographer, no less) in the Phoenix Park
One morning on my way in I noticed 2 trucks with a load of turf mold in each
They tipped it all over the road and began to level it out
At lunch time we came out to see Mr Connery & the lovely Lesley Ann Downes riding down the newly covered road on their horses, so now I always look out for turf mold on roadways in pictures that were set back in the day!
