  1. Brian Collins Enterprises is very pleased to announce another commissioned model.

We are producing a Bus Eireann Expressway Scania Irizar PB (SP Class). A lot of background work has gone on behind the scenes for this model over the last few months. Bus Eireann have selected SP111 as the prototype for this model. They have chosen to represent the following routes:

    20X Galway & 22 Ballina.

One of 120 SP class Irizar’s ‘ SP111’ was delivered in 2008 [08D23986]. Initially it wore CIE Tours International livery. Following its spell with CIE tours it became part of the regular fleet and adopted fleet livery in 2014. For a time in 2014 /2015 it carried three quarter advertising for ‘Applegreen’. SP111 has now being repainted into the new Expressway livery as of 12th February 2015. It is currently Broadstone based and frequently is found on the 020 ‘Expressway’ service.

Release date & pricing to be confirmed, but I would hope to have it available for sale Q4/2015. This model will be produced by Corgi Premiums for Brian Collins Enterprises. This model has been produced in conjunction with ‘Bus Eireann’ who have kindly agreed to reproduction of their logo / livery. Regular updates will be posted once available.

Hello Brian well done and best of look with the "like the car only better" bus ,Will be taking some when there done Eamon.
  2. Oxford have a planned release of the hiab in D R Mcleod livery due July - Sept. Haven't seen a white one on the radar. The cab could be swapped over for one of the BP tanker cabs just remove bp decals, seen a few on ebay. Just a thought but it doesn't sort out the trailer flatbed colour. Stobart one now available from the club.
    Hi Jonny,Thanks for that,

Yes i see hattons now are taking pre orders for the Oxford D R Mcleod liveried one not a bad price either , white cab good idea would be a good option .

I was also checking out the stobart one , but there postage seems to have changed a lot ,the last time i ordered i was charged £3.95 for two items , now they are looking for £22, and there seems to be only one postage option . i know royal mail prices went up but not by 500% .

The few stobart ones ive seen on ebay previous went for mad money up to £102 plus postage.

    Regards,

    Eamon.

  3. Yeah its from the corgi built to last range, stripped and re-decaled. Its not quite 1/76 but its not far off. Someone in the UK apparently measured it to be 1/77 which to me is the same ! Oxford are releasing a 1/76 model of a modern ambulance in the new year so my ones may only be a stopgap. I just thought the shape and size of these was fairly spot on.
They certainly look the business and the size is spot on

    DFB Ambulance Delta 84, part of a batch of 4 thats arrived, ( D14, D24, & D74 ) still needs a bit of work.

Hi grange,is this ambulance you are using , a corgi "toy" model
  5. Wow this is my first venture into the bus world in this forum and I did not realise the stir I created when I said I got one ebay for £20.

I did get one, a Corgi Bus Eireann, Cork but not the right one.

Sorry to disappoint everyone but it was a Corgi OOC 42703 Van Hool Alizee Bus which meets my needs for my Clonmel based Station.

So no you did not miss a bargain -I think I'll stay from this bus world in the future, I'm all for peace and calm at my stage of life.

I thought i was going blind or something ive been keeping an eye out myself for one ,That bus eireann vanhool alizee is a nice one as is the EFE 26608 Plaxton 3500 in bus eireann livery,They both are used for schools now.

  6. Saw this in the alive magazine ,

    And it reads as follows,

'More than a dozen male train drivers in stockholm have been wearing skirts to work,to help them keep cool in the summer heat.

One of the swedish drivers said that temperatures in the cab can reach 35C but the dress code bans drivers from wearing shorts.

The official uniform allows skirts so bosses have accepted the men's decision "to say anything else would be descrimination" said one.

He explained that the regulations aimed to have staff look presentable and tidy, adding that shorts looked "more casual"than a skirt.
