Hi Everyone,
Murphy Models 141 Prices and Delivery Date Confirmed - Pre-Ordering Now Open
Murphy Models has confirmed that production of their new run of 141 and 181 Class Locomotives will be complete and shipping from the factory from China will commence on February 1st, 2024. We expect these locomotives in stock in Mid-Late March.
Price has also now been confirmed as €229.95.
What Do You Need To Do?
If you previously registered an "Expression of Interest" with us regarding the model, you will have received an email from us this morning requesting that you turn your expression of interest into a formal order with us. We require this to know if you wish to proceed with the order so we can confirm our order from Murphy Models, as production of these locomotives is strictly limited.
If you did not receive one, or register in the first place, then you can still pre-order via the links below. You will not be charged until the locomotives are arriving with Murphy Models.
Please note that we are currently awaiting updated images of the new models from Murphy Models, so the current images may not fully represent the final model.

Cheers!
Fran
How are they more expensive than the likes of the IRM A’s?

Havent been in there for a long time, but there may still be one 141 in there which the RPSI reserved for spares... we've three preserved, though. The RPSI have 141 and 142 (one each at Connolly & Whitehead) and Downpatrick has 146 operationally in order.
4 141s currently in Inchicore.

They won’t make the year out, DJD.
space is needed in Inchicore. So some things have to go. These 141s have a lot of interchangeable parts with 071s and so have been used as a spares dump. Now however those spares are being taken off by IE and the RPSI
171 is in the back of Connolly shed
144 was scraped
162, 147 and 177 I don’t know the fates of, but I think one or two are already scraped
162 is for scrap this year, 171 isn’t in Connolly shed.. 175 is with 141
177, 147 and 171 are not to be scrapped and will be utilised for different purposes for the RPSI
