hope this isnt too daft but here goes. I have two MM 121's B125 and B131 DCC, no sound. Both run fine no issue there and they have reasonably low mileage.

After running for a while, there is an odour from B131, the best way I can describe it is a 'Scalextric transformer' odour, its not pungent or foul. You have to get very up close to notice.

It doesnt get hot or impinge on anything, is there any possible latent issue, do some parts need oiling?

You know there is an electric motor in it?

  2. A definite improvement. I have a blue/grey and an Executive set on order but they are not due until later this year, and probably next. I have had the associated power cars for years but never bought the coaches as I was waiting for better ones. I do think someone else will do the HST eventually. There are just so many livery variations that can be done. It must be tempting for another manufacturer.

  3. Rails of Sheffield and Rainbow Railways stock Cavalex models. They started off doing the pay 50% up front and then 50% when the models were in tooling and dealing direct. They seem to be working with retailers now and not selling direct. Their forthcoming class 56 is only available from retailers. They have also done some retailer exclusives - PFB Warflats for Trains4U and various HAAs (unfortunately duplicating Accurascale) for Trains4U and KMS. The other models they have done are the Redland PGA, BBA steel wagon and Total TEA. The BAA was well received and a second run was done and sold out. Their stuff was hard to get as they generally did not make much more than was pre-ordered and so it sold out very quickly. They have a Bardon JGA hopper wagon in the works.
