I'm confused about the 3 foot GM discussion?  What's that got to do with Ireland, apart from nothing?

Number 5 is wondering what's keeping number 6 who's on the toilet.

Pretty sure the smokebox on 186 is just painted with matt black high-temperature paint.  Same as all the other Whitehead locos.

I have a RAL swatch book, I'll try and see if I can get a match sometime, though it's difficult as the paint weathers and stains from cleaning (usually the dye in red diesel sometimes used as a degreaser at WDX stains the paint a little).

Could anyone provide me with the code for the original blue as used on the NIR 111 class when delivered? I understand it was lighter than the current livery.

Also, the ends were red? Was this just painted, or a reflective sticker?
