M.G.W.R_CLASS_50_1939 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Hi Everyone my Names Callum Christie and I will be giving a talk/presentation on The 29th Of March at 7pm on Zoom about The Last Steam Locomotive Built At Broadstone Railway Works By My Late Great grandfather James Christie who worked in Inchicore Works from roughly 1904/05 till January 1920 and he also worked in the Midland Great Western Railway Works in Broadstone Dublin from 1920 - May 1956 as a Blacksmith and Boilersmith and my great grandfather built minature live steam locomotives in his office in Broadstone works from 1939 till 1957 one very special minature steam locomotive he built in particular known as M.G.W.R No. 50 which Happens to be the last steam locomotive of any size to be built at Broadstone Works so in this presentation I will be giving a talk about my great grandfather James and a brief talk of his life working in Broadstone and how he built mgwr No. 50 so I hope people tune in on Zoom which I'll leave a link for hope you can join kind regards callum christie Click https://us06web.zoom.us/j/89202534335?pwd=JherOcoFaVIRljN7c2x4LySYiDv8cS.1 to start or join a scheduled Zoom meeting. 4 Quote
