  1. Been awhile but iv finally got stairs made .alot of watching YouTube and a lot of trial and error but for first time having a go I'm well pleased.

Stairs primed for paint and outside of cabin done too.need to redo the base as not happy with the brick paper how I covered it.

And before anyone comments yes that is a class 33 in irish rail livery.bought from you know who last year out in bray.

  2. Today iv finally got walls and floor put together.have used 1 and 2 mm styrene rod for frames. Iv used  1mm styrene sheet for the floor.. i need to build a roof and do glazing.wood floor and interior.bit of filling needs doing on frames before priming and paint.this my first attempt using styrene to build anything iv also been hampered that iv got cataracts and I'm pretty much blind in my right eye so depth perception is a bit askew.

The cabin is 50mm wide and 240mm in length.the base is 40 mm wide 220 mm long and 50 mm tall.

Stairs are also needed so if cant buy something suitable ill try make my own.

I fount that using cellulose thinners works great as an adhesive as seen it used on youtube.

  6. Have knocked up a new front of arches.been spending time looking up pictures and videos online and after a bunch of attempts its not too bad.it also seems there's a side building and what looks like a chimney.also have looked at a survey map from around 1910 and there's a 4 track coal yard to the right of the turntable.

Need a trip to marks models have to get brick paper sheets.trial and error iv used up my stock.also need windows and brick headers from lcut uk which takes several weeks .

  7. Just curious, anybody have an idea when the 4 brick arches were removed and the shutters installed on the engine shed in connolly.iv seen a picture of the shed in 1971 with the arches and also looks like the modern side building is not there either.looks like something red brick in keeping with rest of building.iv been unable to find a picture of what this was.

Iv the side extension made as a separate building as not sure when it was added.think ill make up both fronts of the shed and see which I like best.id like my shed to be sorta mid seventies in feel.im a child of the 70s after all.

  8. Iv gotten some styrene and am waiting on windows to come from the uk.windows are really not ideal but I can't find what I want.card is great to knock things up quickly.a 3d in the hand item to take measurements and to do wrong and redo is very interesting.this is all new to me so everything is learning hands on.
