  1. Iv no 201s not my era .70s is my time but ill still buy a couple of these and new 071s just to have the liveries.bought an 071 last year and wasn't cheap at all.
  2. Got 2 delivered this morning.look outstanding and intact in packaging.so happy iv ordered a third.
  3. Been awhile but iv finally got stairs made .alot of watching YouTube and a lot of trial and error but for first time having a go I'm well pleased. Stairs primed for paint and outside of cabin done too.need to redo the base as not happy with the brick paper how I covered it. And before anyone comments yes that is a class 33 in irish rail livery.bought from you know who last year out in bray.
  4. Today iv finally got walls and floor put together.have used 1 and 2 mm styrene rod for frames. Iv used 1mm styrene sheet for the floor.. i need to build a roof and do glazing.wood floor and interior.bit of filling needs doing on frames before priming and paint.this my first attempt using styrene to build anything iv also been hampered that iv got cataracts and I'm pretty much blind in my right eye so depth perception is a bit askew. The cabin is 50mm wide and 240mm in length.the base is 40 mm wide 220 mm long and 50 mm tall. Stairs are also needed so if cant buy something suitable ill try make my own. I fount that using cellulose thinners works great as an adhesive as seen it used on youtube.
  5. Thats them there dave.its not the price of them its the postage and vat thats the thing thats annoying.
  6. Peters spares postage is £18.20 in the English money not including 23%vat.
  7. Found a cheaper option .not by much but still less than both.so have bit the bullet and bought 2 sets to see .
  8. Address pal is a tenner now.6.50 and 3.50 admin fee.hate giving an post money as I work for them.did use it years ago but refuse to pay them the admin fee and 23%vat too. Might be cheaper to fly to UK with Ryan Air and pick em up in person
  9. Howdy, Quick question.im looking for springs and brushes for ringfield motors ,I can readily buy them on ebay but its 18 quid postage and 23%vat on top of it.is there anywhere in ireland that sells these parts.?can buy em on eBay and have em delivered to a friend in the uk to repost but want to find an alternate to this. Cheers Dara
  10. Not been doing much of late.had all my window bays done and cut out and noticed id measured wrong id 16 instead of 18,so had to start over.18.bays done and covered in brick paper.when finished I'm now 40 scale feet short but its fine for me.
  11. I got one in bray a few weeks back for €350.got it in c.i e supertrain livery.unless re issued prices are going to keep going upwards.im not long in the hobby so paying premiums to get what I want.
  12. Id presume they would be the same.never thought of that tbh.maybe peters spares might have something similiar looking.
  13. Missing a window wiper off an 071.are there spares available? Not the end of the world if not but would like to be able to replace it.
