Always sad to see a layout disappear. We all know how much time and effort goes into any layout. Hopefully a new one may appear in the near future.

Excellent video Nelson

Bachmann is certainly the number 1 for detail and price. I also find Noch provide a good cross section of people and accessories for a reasonable price. Preiser have a large selection but I find them very expensive and are a smaller scale against Bachman figures. Hope this helps.

In answer to the prototypical question the answer is to produce as many as possible from around the country based on layout popularity and possibly an individuals needs.
With regards to the Guinness kegs Buffer stops and platform sides are already in the pipeline and as for time wasting well thats something I never do and I wont be looking for orders so to speak as thats for another section of this forum but suffice to say that all of the subjects mentioned + more will be produced in quantity as much as possible.
I am not the answer to all the Irish railway modellers needs and wants but I do bring on here 40 years of experience to the table as a master modeller from the time in Rialto back in the sixtys as a boy when my deceased brother gave me a slap for touching his Flying Scotsman loco lol to radio control cars planes helicopters drones hovercraft Jetfoil/Tinfoil hydrofoil model powerboating with gps and authomatic control capabilities + garden railways and an 800sq ft workshop fully equipped with all I need with no need to out source any work whatsoever and loads of experience in GRP and castings and design.
Im here to help the modeller not screw him or her.! Workshop pics to follow soon.

40 stands of layouts/displays - no trade due to the archaic nature of the organising club
I have just returned from the 1st Bangor MRC and feel I must respond to the above comment which I feel is very unfair.
I spent the morning at the exhibition spread over 4 halls and a great number of layouts. The atmosphere was very cordial and relaxed, allowing time for a bite to eat put on by the MRC. For a modeller this gives the chance to chat to the stand holders about the hobby and experiences. It should be noted that MP for the area Lady Herman was also visiting the exhibition as a show of support which I thought was a very nice touch. The fact no trade stands there did not spoil this experience in any way and in fact probably saved me a fortune. I would like to congratulate Bangor MRC and would recommend anyone to visit this highly enjoyable exhibition.

Is it DCC compatible nelson?

Great looking layout Bill. Can you post more pics as I am redoing my layout and seem to have the same baseboard layout as yourself and I am interested in how you come across the room. Have you a track plan?

Hi just looking at the Transit models. Brilliant. Any idea where you can buy the lighting bars for 1.76 scale.,

Surely the whole idea is a hobby!!!! To relax and enjoy at our leisure when WE decide to start, continue or finish a project. This ensures we enjoy what we do with no pressure. I find this forum inspiring and informative and run trains when I feel like it. Dabble when I feel like it. Jump from idea to idea and projects when I feel like it. That is why I like this hobby. We all move at our own pace and pleasure and no one should feel useless about that.

Great Idea Noel. I was happy to complete the survey as presented. Looking forward to your results. I thought the idea of this site was for FUN as modellers

It was modelled on a mill fire I attended many moons ago in my years with the N.I.F.B.....the Fire engines are Oxford diecast which have been stripped and wired with the blue lights, we ran those Bedfords when I first joined the service...sorry about the poor picture quality it was filmed on my phone ...have a lot more done from then, so will take another video with my camera over the weekend...many thanks for being my first visitor.Have been wanting to put the layout on for some time but didn't think it was good enough to show...
Hi Geoff. Great layout. More pics please. What size of LEDs did you use for the Fire engines and how did you power them. It is a fantastic layout by the way with plenty going on.
