Happy Christmas lads, thanks for all the great work through the year, especially the A Class. Truly superb.

I remember when the Push Pulls started that the 121’s struggled with Control Car plus 5. Most services ran as Control Car plus 3 between the peaks. Spare cars left in the Boston sidings.
I had a single trip to Maynooth with a Control Car plus 1, hauled both ways by a 141. Not sure how common that was.- 1

Couple of questions for the hive mind....
Regarding the MK3 push-pull sets - the only pictures I've seen of these shows them in the tippex livery. Did they ever carry the Supertrain livery? Also were they ever hauled by 121's still painted in Supertrain?
Regarding the AEC Railcar push pull sets - were these ever hauled by 121's as opposed tothe re-engined C Class?
After the commencement of DART services to Bray a 121 was used on a 3 car ex-AEC set on a shuttle from Bray to Greystones. This worked from the bay platform at the south end of Bray station. This lasted until the summer of 1987 when the AEC cars were withdrawn. The last 2 driving cars were 6107 and 6111. The 121s were in Supertrain livery at this time.

Lol. Throw water at it. It'll be grand

And don't forget that all Irish Mk3 coaches had swing plug doors instead of manual ones.

Keep up the good work lads.
I'm looking forward to lots more interesting projects.

Mine arrived today also.
I must say they are exceptional. Excellent detail and plenty of detail variations.
Well done lads, I'll be ordering bubbles and Tara wagons in the near future.

Thanks Garfield
It was a grand sight on the Branch bridge in Drogheda

Hi
I saw 071 last Sunday looking ex-works in Supertrain livery, but with a white CIE logo at Drogheda. Is this a heritage livery?
It must be 40 years since they were introduced.

It certainly was worth the 402 mile round trip yesterday to this excellent exhibition,
Well done to the Lads at the Wexford club for organizing it,
It was great to meet some old friends and also some new ones, I managed to pick up some IE Cravens coaches for 30 euro each, from the local Wexford club stand there, which was less than what some of the trade stands were looking for,
Well worth a visit if you can make the trip.
I had a slightly shorter 250 mile round trip. My first time at this great show. I'll be back next year.

A great show today. Good to see Leslie and the IRM crew.

Hi John,
Put me down for 1 six wheeler and 1 four wheeler if there is a re-run
-
Merry Christmas to everyone. Hope your day went well.

Great show again. It was good to meet Des and Leslie. Picked up some wagon kits to keep me busy in the dark evenings and a Van Hool from Jim Poots.
Stanfording stole the show for me. Working inside motion and working signals controlled from an interlocked lever frame.

I popped in today and was delighted to pick up 220 at €140. It'll be beans on toast for a week or two but worth it.

Thanks for the heads up. I got to Greystones and got some dodgy pics and a short video. Once I work out how to upload them all will be revealed.

Very sad news.

Excellent news Mark. Well done.

I grew up in the 70's watching the trains at the grannies in Harmonstown. Spent many a Tuesday on the bridge near St. Paul's watching 201s on pp sets and 141s on suburban sets with a 4 or 6 wheel van with the occasional DH on the Enterprise. I still remember my shock when 106 ran past light southbound. Back there this weekend for the show. Happy memories.
