    hello

Just been reading through the threads, came across the "15mm Tralee & Dingle loco". No need to pay £2500 for one, build your own! This Hunslett I built from plywood & cardboard, bits of scrap brass, toothpaste tube for strapping. The chassis is made up from a couple of household radiator brackets. Never chuck anything that looks useful away. Tis no great thing of beauty, but mine own. (William Shakespear said this, when the pi-- was taken out of His scratch-building). Regards Ken

    hello

Well, thanks to all for the warm welcome. The CVR had six of these 0-4-2Ts, bought from Sharp Stewart loco builders. A seventh similar looking beast, 0-4-4T this time, from Hudswell Clarke, with a more traditional bunker came later. The CVR had some wonderful Railmotors as well, well worth modelling. If you are really interested, get a copy of; The Irish Narrow Gauge, Volume Two, by Tom Ferris. Lots of info on the lines in the North.

    hello

Hello to all, any NG 16mm garden railway scratch builders? Here is a battery powered Clogher Valley loco I built some years ago. "Tis no great thing of beauty, but mine own". Regards Ken
