  2. Cheers Rich,

    Appreciate that !

I'm a bit late adding to this but I will echo everything the lads have said and sincerely wish you all the best in this venture. A lot of hard work goes into building models as good as your own, and a lot of the guys on here will testify to that. There is a healthy interest in Irish prototypes over the last few years so everything will be fine.

    Rich,

  4. A 20' Container flat AND an Orange CIE Container ~ now that's something on almost everybody's Wish List, I would think :-bd

    Yes. please, Leslie =D

Any chance of your thoughts turning to the CIE 10' Uniload Container ??? Something not commercially available.

Re: the Beer Tub Wagon, I'd vote for the longer chassis, provided the extension doesn't weaken the chassis.

    Hi Frank,

I know we have spoken lately and you are now aware that uniload boxes are available from me at irishfreightmodels@gmail.com, but just reiterating it here for everyones attention.

  5. Hi,

Does anyone have the RAL codes for the Irish Cement ivory and blue colours as used on the various cement wagons over the years?

Would also be interested in purchasing any Irish Cement tins of ivory/blue paint or old MIR Irish Cement decals if anyone has spares going a begging.

    Thanks.

  6. I would love to see some pics of you have them, what did you use for a base model?

Until i find a missing usb key, this is the only photo at present i have of an unfinished early production model.

the model is designed as a stand alone, i dont use a base model !

  8. Hi Dave

I have sucessfully used Kadee No. 20's in the past to prevent derailing issues

Insert them only a feww mm into the nem pocket and hold with a dab of adhesive, inserting any deeper will result in buffer lock issues.

think the 20 is the longest kadee available

I had a photo i showed on the old site to someone, see if i can find it.

  9. Hi All

Irish Freight Models checking in here !.

Thanks to Boskonay for the invite.

Best of luck to the new forum.

A little intro, i formerly posted as Dieselman on the older forums and many will know me better as that and also my "Annestown" layout, which i hope has provided inspiration for other modellers to enter the hobby.

Although not a professional modelmaker, I produce many items of Irish freight rolling stock as well as resprays etc, and have done work for many of the members on here !

The super moderator (gotta love that title) has kindly provided a thread for me in the shops/producers section, so i can post there, photos etc..

My youtube channel can be found here, hopefully this works, http://www.youtube.com/user/tbmsp?feature=mhee

    just click on "videos"

    regards

    Tom
