I have available a Gaugemaster Model DS double track controller with brake simulation. See http://www.hattons.co.uk/9334/Gaugemaster_Controls_DS_Double_power_controller_with_brake_simulator/StockDetail.aspx

for description. This is for DC only, cannot operate DCC equipped locos (unless they are dual control).

This controller is set up for US 110V input (reason why it's free!), therefore it needs a voltage converter.

Luckily, I have a voltage converter which will be included free!

While a few years old now, it had very light usage and was operating well last time it was tried (3 years ago). Currently no layout to test it on.

I will post (at cost) the controller within Ireland and to GB. but due to the weight of the voltage converter, this item is collect only, from Ballinlough area of Cork City.

Two packs of O Gauge people, mint in box. One is from Woodlands Scenics, the other from Life-Like. Due to down-sizing of house and gauge these are now surplus to requirements.

Two Mainline locos: GWR Green 'Hinton Manor'; GWR Green 4318 2-6-0

Two Lima locos: both GWR 4589 Prairie but in packaging of different styles;

One Hornby loco: GWR 3821 County of Bedford. Package says useable with smoke but this has not been tried.[this loco now reserved]

Older models not tested in a few years. All ran well in 2013. No longer have an OO gauge layout to test them on.

A small number of railway enthusiasts are looking at the possibility of starting a South West Munster Railway Association, in an area restricted to Counties Cork, Kerry, and Limerick (to avoid encroaching on the West Clare Railway and the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway folk). We see this Association as encompassing those interested in Model Railways (including the possibility of a Cork club), Railway History (though of course the IRRS cover this also), and Heritage activities (including a possible short heritage line, and/or locomotive restoration or replica new build, or helping an existing group). We will be happy to include those interested in both 5’3” and 3 foot gauges! (And of course all model scales and gauges!!)

The intention is to hold an inaugural meeting in Cork city sometime in October (if there is enough interest expressed at this preliminary stage). If you think this idea for an Association is a good plan, please let me know; also please note whether it is likely that you could attend an inaugural meeting, or just wish to be kept informed of developments. (Also let me know of anyone else I should contact.) If interested, please email me on meiriongwril@gmail.com.
