    Stobart Reach Stacker

Certainly one that I'd like to add to my Stobart Collection. It's the business Jonny.

Are you glued to the couch on a Friday evening with the Stonart series on Channel 5. Stobart Trucks, Trains & Planes?

We sure are glued to the couch watching it, both me and my 6 year old son, think santa will have to bring a few stobart goodies for him again this year and me hopefully !

Yeah the model is class i'm impressed with the detail in it. The skeletal and container are now available from the club shop if you are interested.

  2. Yeah its from the corgi built to last range, stripped and re-decaled. Its not quite 1/76 but its not far off. Someone in the UK apparently measured it to be 1/77 which to me is the same ! Oxford are releasing a 1/76 model of a modern ambulance in the new year so my ones may only be a stopgap. I just thought the shape and size of these was fairly spot on.

  3. Thanks. The reach stacker is from the Atlas Editions Stobart collection. Same casting as the oxford release cant remember the livery on that one. Great detail in it including the sliding cab. The recent less co container released has attachment points to put it on the stacker

  4. Very nice looking model Grange Castle. Not much into busses but it has great detail it must be said. On a related note... were you at the South Dublin Model Railway show at the weekend? Very nice new releases from Oxford Diecast making their debut. Scania Irizar in Bus Eireann Eurolines livery. Nearly picked one up, but the new BP Oil tanker release stole my heart (and Wallet) first!

Yes I was at the show, I have a scania on the way at the moment, not my favourite livery but i still have to get one :D

  5. Not many would notice the inaccuracies and even fewer would care.

Ah I'm just one of these people that assumes if i can see something wrong with it everyone can, your right though, very little out of place on it.

  6. Went today, good show. Anyone thinking of going, do ! Bring the kids as well, they'll love the lego layout.

Nice to meet some the lads on here and have a chat,

Dave - And his well crafted Baseboards

Eoin - Dart model which is superbly detailed

Brian Collins - Dublin Bus VG model and great selection of diecasts

Derek (GSI 345) - City Imp and a stunning display of other buses

Dave (wrenn) with Chris - with a huge selection of Irish railway

Walked away from the show today well chuffed, got a nice few bits from Dave and Brian. Also the City Imp model looks great in the flesh

  7. That looks like the north end of O'Connell Bridge with the truck heading west towards Heuston.

I second that, Eden Quay heading for Batchelors Walk. Cinema where the laughter lounge now stands, ulster bank on o'connell st still there and the dead give away the clock with is still there over what is now an indian restaurant.

    Great pic !

  8.

As a Bus collector myself I understand how this one fetches the shillings it does. Its a model of a dublin bus cityswift which was on loan to bus eireann for a time it had a couple of bus eireann logos and branding but by and large looked like any other cityswift at the time. When they did the run of models they produced a small number of them in the bus eireann brand, 240 I think. They are quite hard to find now and i have seen a couple change hands for crazy money ! Wouldn't pay it myself but each to their own. I wouldn't mind getting one as its about the only one i dont have but price wise i could get 2 or 3 of another bus.
