Fire Affecting Modellbahn Union shop

Just had an email from Modellbahn Union that they  have had to close temporary due to fire in adjacent building.

Major fire in Kamen

Dear valued regular customers,

We regret to inform you that there has been a fire at a neighbouring building at our Kamen site. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

Although the fire brigade was able to prevent the flames from spreading to our building, extinguishing water has entered the building and is currently preventing us from continuing operations, as the building is currently unusable.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to say when we will be able to resume operations and which goods were destroyed by the fire.

We have therefore decided not to accept any new orders while the situation remains unclear. The order function for all items, apart from new items, is therefore deactivated. You will receive information about your current orders as soon as we are aware of the current situation and can assess the further course of events.

Please note that our offices have also been affected and therefore the telephone service is not available and the email service is only available to a limited extent. The shop is also closed until further notice.

New products that have not yet been delivered, such as the Desiro HC, are not affected by the current situation and can still be pre-ordered as usual via the online shop. We do not expect any delays in the delivery of future new products.
