Dawn Quest Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I've had lots of submissions for this challenge, and I would like to extend the deadline by a week, until next Wednesday, 1st April, as I have been ill for the past week or so, although I’m now feeling much better. I would also like to take part in the challenge myself, and my own submission is only half complete because of this. This means everyone still has this weekend to create a model of a structure you might find in a garden for your layout or a diorama—whether it’s a shed, outside loo, Anderson shelter, dog kennel, tropical garden bar and BBQ area, or a run-down, disused workshop. The rules are: No 3D printing No using items taken from kits No shop-bought modelling materials such as roofs or printed brickwork You can use static grass, etc., but everything must be made from items found around the house or things not intended for model making (e.g. toothbrush lids, coffee stirrers, lentils, cardboard, etc.). All entries will be featured in a YouTube video, so please send three to four pictures along with a written description of the materials used. I will narrate this over your images. Please send your entries to: modelrailwayquest@gmail.com By the way, I’m not looking for expert modelling skills—as “Grumpy Cameraman’s” effort of our garden studio below proves! That said, some of the submissions have been of such a high standard that it’s been surprising to see what the items originally started life as. 2
