Late Night DARTs

IÉ is to operate late night DART services on five nights in the run up to Christmas - Friday 13th, Saturday 14th, Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Saturday 21st December. Services will operate at 00:30 Pearse-Howth, 00:35 Pearse-Malahide and 00:30 Connolly-Bray, and will serve all stations on the three routes. Fares will be charged at normal DART rates and holders of weekly, monthly and annual season tickets will be able to use the service at no extra charge. All services will have security personnel on board.

 

IÉ's website states that the 'decision to run the late night DARTs was made following an online survey of customers which indicated strong support for the extra service'. If there is strong demand, the IÉ would be prepared to 'look at the possibility of expanding the service in future years, both in terms of frequency, and in terms of more destinations, such as Greystones on the DART and other Commuter routes'.
