I am currently building an SSM brass kit of a Bredin Parcel/Brake Van.

Photographs of the completed model are on SSM Site built by a Eamon Kerney. I note on the brass etch his names appears also. Has anyone any information on this obviously very talented Model Maker? I must mention this is an excellent kit.

Eamon worked with Terry McDermott to produce some excellent kits in late 90's for SSM. He is a retired engineer who is a superb designer of etches and indeed of creating his own dcc sound chips. I have had the benefit of his mentoring skills and assistance on lathing and on the design of several recent releases.

Thanks Weshty. It's good to know some of the unsung heroes of Irish Railway Modelling. I totally agree he is a suburb designer and as I go through the build I marvel at the approach he makes at putting models together for people of a wide range of modelling skills. I would recommend his designed kits to anyone who wishes to tackle a brass coach.
