Sulzer201
Just thought people might be interested in these pics of the route of the old Shillelagh Branch, photos showing remains of bridge which carried the line across the Aughrim River and bridge under the Arklow-Rathdrum road at Woodenbridge. Last traffic went to the old mill at Aughrim in late forties - early fifties. Regular passenger services were curtailed during the early part of the WWII and never resumed to their normal levels. These photos show the line immediately after it has diverged from the Dublin-Rosslare line at Woodenbridge.
