hurricanemk1c Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Hi all, I've been quite quiet here of late, with other matters taking my spare time once out of work. However, I did complete an all-line rover in the UK during July, matching up with a concert I was at. The overall plan was to try and get as much of the stock that is due for replacement in the next year or two (which is an awful lot!) Day 1 was a simple trip from Nottingham to London, and a quick spin out to Ebbsfleet International for a shot of an unrefurbished Class 373 Eurostar Day 2 started and finished in London, with a trip out to Norwich and the surrounding area before the Stadler units replace things Day 3 saw me hit South Wales, again before a major fleet renewal changes things, ending up in Chester for the night Day 4 was a trip from Chester to Belper via Liverpool and York (with a visit to the National Railway Museum and Betty's Bar) Day 5 saw me head south in the afternoon (having spent the morning around an area I grew up in), and positioning for the Sleeper to Inverness that night....... Day 6 saw me potter around Scotland, starting out from Perth instead of Inverness due to major sleeper delays (being nearly 4 hours late into Perth due to a variety of issues). With the early Hainan flight back to Dublin the following morning, this was the end of the rover Album link - https://www.flickr.com/photos/hurricanemk1c/albums/72157709863437391 Regards, Kieran 4 Quote
