I met him in the BBC in the 80's when he was doing the Wogan show. My uncle worked for the Beeb at the time and brought me in to see behind the scenes. What a legend.

An excellent evening in excellent company; Messrs josefstadt and ttc, plus two other readers of this forum. This morning's visit to Tara Junction was the highlight. Very many thanks again, ttc!
That's the money shot for me, superb!

They have moved quite close to an existing model shop so I wonder how it will affect their business

Will Peco follow through with the range of points to match? The current code 75 range in concrete sleeper is limited to medium points and flex track and they don't have any plans to do the rest of the range in concrete sleeper.

can anyone recommend a carpenter with experience of building baseboards, in particular someone who can do a lifting flap for me.
I live near naas, so a carpenter based in kildare/south dublin works for me.
cheers

I Paddy, I specialise in baseboards and make them to order. I'm not far from Naas so could drop over one evening and have a look. You can email me at david@modelrailbaseboards.com

Thanks lads
Bos, I'll get some more pics of it. Still have to finish the scenery on it.
Junctionmad, there are more details to go on such as rely boxes they should really look well. Peco track can be made to look really well once painted and weathered, but I will be building a layout for a client later this year using C&L track and I will be making the points so hopefully that should look the business!

Hi Dave
Great stuff Dave, very well done. I look forward to following your updates and wish all the success in creating a valuable modellers video resource on the products you sell and technique for installing...

Thanks to everybody for your help and input. If I laid foam or cork, Can I put the ballast on top of that?
Hi Joe, yes you can ballast straight on top.
