The Irish Rail 201 River Class GM is Similar to the Class 59 in power output. The 59 though is more proven when hauling long trains. The 59 can haul up to 50 Cement and Stone wagons. The 66 can do better. The 201 and 66 have capacity for 3250 hp while the 59 and 071 GM are at 2950hp. The class 70 in Britain is also capable at 3250hp and all have a similar prime mover at EMD710.
