  1. Your dead right, still though, its a nickle silver kit so how different is it from a brass one? and is he still taking commissions? Either way the J28 sounds interesting, always good to see more kits on the market.
  2. I would interested in a J18, depending on price and it's quality of course! Any chance of a Bandon tank?
  3. Have a pair of Park Royals on order, is there a way of gaining the points on my current order before the day is done? Order was confirmed the 6th of November.
  4. One of the first ever 'Irish' items I ever purchased was this old Pullman car custom painted in the CIE livery, I would like to know weather this is a work of fiction or if there ever were cars on the network running in these colours. I know the great southern railway bought a small few carriages, but I cant find much other information on them. Would love to paint up a rake of Irish Pullmans if I could find any info on them and their colour schemes. Thanks
  5. Though the layout won't make it to SDMRC, work continues! A mate of mine 3d printed me a few crates as well as barrels and palates to fill out the station, so a few more updates to come now.
  6. Deffo! Just looking for a something of the right size.
  7. Just finished the next project! My own take on a class 101, with plenty of creative liberties taken. Repainted from an Oxford Rail dean goods loco with decals provided by @dropshort105. IMG_9560.mp4
  8. I know this is a long shot but you hardly still have these?
  9. Thanks very much, looking at doing the Dublin show but I have the Dublin marathon that weekend as well so it could be messy, Ill keep ye posted!
  10. Recently removed the chipper and terrace houses on the hill by the road. Decided to replace it with a ruined abbey from the middle ages, scratch built by myself from plywood and willis kits stone sheets, I thought it would give the layout a more rural Irish feel, rather than those old English-looking Metcalfe kits!
  11. Looming over the layout now is a bookshelf. Since the layout is on the bottom bunk of the spare room, I built the shelf to fill in to the space and to give the already small room a bit more storage. It's also got a stretch atop to display locos with trains behind them.
  12. Thanks very much, I use Douglas Light Green for the paint and Clear Lacquer for the finish. The lacquer is great for holding decals on as well, i've used it for no.200 as well as my own WT loco.
  13. One in a GNRI blue & cream could be one to try now.
