  1. Looming over the layout now is a bookshelf. Since the layout is on the bottom bunk of the spare room, I built the shelf to fill in to the space and to give the already small room a bit more storage. It's also got a stretch atop to display locos with trains behind them.
  2. Thanks very much, I use Douglas Light Green for the paint and Clear Lacquer for the finish. The lacquer is great for holding decals on as well, i've used it for no.200 as well as my own WT loco.
  3. One in a GNRI blue & cream could be one to try now.
  4. Thanks very much! Slowly improving the craft.
  5. Painted it up myself last week, its an old Lima German diesel that I bought as a souvenir in Nuremburg. The number 200 doesn't mean anything, I just had the numbers 200 decals spare.
  6. Some more pictures of the layout. At a stage where I am happy with it and would consider the layout finished. Maybe time for a new project???
  7. Few new buildings finished for the backstreet. I've also completed my own WT class from a Bachmann Fairburn tank. Layouts in the finishing stages now!
  8. Thinking of going to sell/swap this pair of locomotives, would there be any interest?
  9. It's basically a sort of display line. I wanted to fill that space but there wasn't enough room to add a set of points and the track was already laid, so I made it unpowered, with a fake set of points leading to it. Can display unused wagons and small locos without them getting in the way of the running line.
  10. Love the ideas that have came through. I've made a good bit of progress in the last couple of months including finishing off the station and modifying the buildings. Its near the end now, just needs a couple more buildings and to do something about that road!
  11. Deffo will look at getting a few, thanks!
  12. Ive entered the final stages of my exhibition layout set vaguely in the Greater Dublin Area. Looking for any advice on what I could add to it to finish it off.
