I find the last sentence in this post a terrible slight on Murphy and I would ask you to withdraw it.
Remember he is dealing with people thousands of miles away
When the original Lima models were produced for him he was taking their advice on what he should produce
Take for example the L105100X33 Set, the very first pic on this thread, Cl 33/A Class with a Mk 2 & Mk 3 coach
Anyone with a good knowledge of loco and coach running would never have put these 3 items together
This was the package that was sold to him and he went for it
As a result of this he then commissioned the 201 as the first truly Irish RTR model loco.
The mistake with the 7411 was caused in the Lima factory, not by Murphy
7411 in standard form was never catalogued. He would have had to open each pack and check for it
Again the new coach's were painted in China, not D4
He placed an order for these coaches, approved the pre production samples but what arrived was not what was ordered
He is still in discussion with the factory and he is not a very happy bunny over their handling of the issue
He feels his reputation has been tarnished by their bad work, not his, and this whole event may place the 121 project in jeprody
Unfortunately unlike a lot of the keyboard assassins here he is only human.
Here, here Wrenneire, if anyone thinks they can do a better job then best of luck, you'll need it. I'll continue to support Murphy's Models & his (hopefully ) any future releases!

That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks Kirley!!

Congratulations & kiss goodbye to modelling for a few years!!!!!!
-
If you add the purple & maroon swirls & a black stripe along the side your're not too far off the new enterprise livery!!!
-
A little touch of the Hunslet maroon/red and some De Dietrich Enterprise purple. What a fantastic modern livery to bring the Enterprise into the 21 century. I wonder who takes the credit for it NIR or IE
How long before one comes out of your paint shop Ant???????

Thanks for that Kirley just the job, Any help is greatly appreciated so that would be great aswell Weshty.

This is my progress so far & ive just realized i put the buffers on before the buffer plates - doh!!! Anyone know how to un-do super glue!!!
Im struggling with the detailing underneath (Steps 15 - 21) i could do with photos to guide me through it if anybody photo catalogued their progress. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Great job there Kirley, all work on my ones has stalled for the moment due to awkward shifts/footie & two demanding little princesses!!! Looking forward to seeing how you progress with them!
-
Got most of the body work done but have the detailing left to do which is the most time consuming. Kids are back so god only knows when i get the time to finish it off. I don't know how guys get the time!!

No TGVs into Ballybrophy for a while yet...
.....& it's 100mph over that stretch!

That's absolutely majestic Bos!! but if i were you i'd have the signalman horizontal on a couch if my experience of them is anything to go by!!!!

I think if they kept the yellow design the same as the intercity/233 enterprise locos with the full yellow front & black outline then it would look much better. I agree the curve at the bottom is different on both ends. I remember seeing 228 coming out of the paint shop after being the first to get the green intercity livery & the yellow at the front didn't curve but went straight across like 230. They didn't like it so changed it to a curve a few days later so this mighten be the finished livery yet.
