  1. Interesting project, and great to see some mixed gauge track being modelled. Cheers, Dave.
  2. Wow, another gem David! Although I was sad to discover that Arigna Town is "no longer with us". All the best, Dave.T
  3. Thanks very much David, that helps a lot. I will have to look through my arty daughter's various sets of paint etc. And I've just remembered I've got a copy of John Ahern's book tucked away somewhere! Thanks again, Dave.T
  4. Hi David, I've just been reading back on Fintonagh, particularly regarding your excellent backscene work. I really need to do something similar with Bridport, but my 2D landscape painting skills are seriously rusty! Please can I ask what sort of paint you used on Fintonagh? Is it acrylic? Presumably on a whiter background? And did you employ any particular technique? Thanks for any advice you can give. All the best, Dave.T
  5. Lovely modelling Dave, as I've said elsewhere. Cheers, Dave.T
  6. Fabulous stuff David, and you seem to do it all so quickly! All the best, Dave.T
  7. Thanks very much Dave, the Railbus is a beauty. Wondering how I can create an "English" version! Cheers, Dave.
  8. Hi David, Thanks very much for that, but my apologies, I meant the green one! Dave.T
  9. Hi David, Looking again at your layout, can I ask a question? What is the type of paint and the colour you have used on the 0-6-4? It looks like the sort of shade I am looking for to paint the new locos on the Marshwood Vale. Thanks very much, Dave.T
  10. Marvelous work as ever David, those models look superb. I'm looking enviously at the loco kit: can I justify buying one??? Will I ever find time to build it??? I'm interested in your plans to resin-cast the various van bodies, are you planning to market them? I may well be interested in a couple. Or would the task of marketing get in the way of the actual modelling? All the best, Dave.T
  11. Great project David, I will be following closely. Cheers, Dave.T
  12. If anyone is interested by the way, Charmouth is having one of it's rare outings to the Railex Exhibition at Aylesbury, at the end of May this year. Full details at: http://www.railex.org.uk/ All the best, Dave.
  13. Guilty as charged! Yes I am the DT of Charmouth and Bridport. Not really Irish layouts, but more than a little Irish influence. The first brakevan is a little way down this page: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/35253-dlts-ng-workbench-upgrading-an-old-hunslet/ The second one (supposedly a later rebuild of the first) starts halfway down this page: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/35253-dlts-ng-workbench-upgrading-an-old-hunslet/page-4 Hope I will get to see Arigna Town some day. All the best, Dave.
  14. Hi David, Great to see the High Weald light layouts again, and good to hear that you have come back to 7mm narrow gauge. You may be interested to know that your original Clogher Valley coach eventually found its way to me and was rebuilt into a pair of brakevans. All the best, David Taylor.
