I'm pleased to report that the show at Stillorgan on 15th. February 2015 is now fully booked with tables.

Just TWO tables now remain available (24th. January 2014) and another trader from Kent has booked two tables. He will be selling model buses and other related items and that now make no less than FOUR traders from England and four from Northern Ireland plus some thirty traders from Ireland. Promises to be a great show with quality & quantity.

Thanks Dave and the new trader is a great chap called Bernard Whalley; he, like the late Bob, is from Lancashire. He trades in a wide variety of stock, vintage and more modern, including Hornby Dublo and Dinky Toys - a lot of model railway stock in general plus a very good die-cast selection. His prices are reasonable and he is happy to offer part-exchange etc. He has booked three tables and will mount a good display; I hope that customers will support him in his new venture.

The Ulster MRC are holding their annual 2-day show at Carrickfergus this weekend, Sat. 9th/Sun.10th. August 2014. I will be trading there with a large amount of Irish stock (from the North & the South) as well as much UK Bachmann (inc. latest releases) and a good range of secondhand "00" UK stock. http://www.chrisdyerfairs.co.uk

This is an example of our professionally converted Bachmann Class 170 into the super NIR CAF 3000/4000 3-car DMU. We will have a small number available at Stillorgan on Sunday 18th. May 2014 at the Dublin Toy & Train Sale.

All being well I will have two or three sets available and they are being worked on at present. The biggest problem is finding the original Bachmann 3-car Class 170 sets here in the UK - they are very scarce and have become much more expensive but we do have others "in the pipeline". We also hope to have a few more of the Hornby Mk4 coaches repainted into the "Enterprise" livery and they do look quite convincing.

May 2014 from 10.30am to 3.00pm. 80 tables packed with all manner of items, old and new, with LOADS OF MODEL RAILWAY ITEMS including many Irish models. Large free car park for 350 cars and good public transport links. Great catering all day and a unique and wonderful atmosphere prevails. Chris Dyer Toys & Trains will be there with a vast stock of Irish and UK models in "00". We now have the new Silver Fox Sulzer locos in five liveries as well as fresh supplies of the Mk3 Suburban 3-coach sets which we had previously sold out of. We have a LOT of Silver Fox, Murphy Models and our own production Mk2 and Mk3 coaches in IR/IE and NIR. We will also have our very first NIR 3000/4000 3-car DMU r.t.r sets (ex. Bachmann) and they are quite superb.

Table rent, for a 6' x 2.6" table (with room for backing table) is 27 euros. That is the same price as at our UK shows and well below prices charged by other organizers. The show in Dublin does cost about 50% more to mount that a similar show in England or Wales and we have to cover those extra costs. We had the best-ever attendance at Stillorgan last Sunday and the majority of the stall-holders seemed happy and have re-booked for 18th. May 2014. We also had a great many very happy customers who seem to like the event and venue. The previous Dublin show at the Clontarf Castle Hotel charged 35 euros for a similar table!

Happy to take your surplus UK model railway items in part-exchange against new Irish stock (loads of it!) if there is anything that you may want. Next visit is on Sunday 16th. February at The Stillorgan Park Hotel and our selling stand will be just inside the entrance to the main room. Back there on Sunday 18th. May and also at the N.D.M.R.C annual exhibition on Sat/Sun 12/13th April 2014 at Bangor Grammar School, N.Ireland. Good range of new UK items as well including all the latest models from Bachmann.

I will have the very first few production examples from Silver Fox ( 2 x Sulzer and 2 x G601) on my stand at the Dublin Toy & Train Sale at Stillorgan on Sunday 16th. February 2014 and they will be for sale; many more to follow as a quite large order has gone in and the full range with be available for the Northdown show in April. These first ones are being completed now and sent to me early next week. I also have large stocks now of all other Silver Fox Irish products as recently, two large orders were delivered to me.

Silver Fox are launching an all-new version of the B101 SULZER in 5 liveries (Original Silver; Green: Black: Black/white/orange and Black/orange) and I hope to have a small number in stock for the Stillorgan show on 16/02/14. Also new from Silver Fox is the G601 Deutz original version in 4 liveries (Silver; Green; Black/white & Black/white/orange) and hopefully I will also have a small number of these available with more to follow for the Northdown Show at Bangor, in April
