  1. Storage boxes for magazines and other papers. These are designed for quarto sized pages as used, for example, in Wild Swan journals such as British Railways Journal. They will not fit A4 sized pages such as in Railway Modeller. They are available in red or blue, and we have about 20 of them. Happy to split into smaller numbers of boxes. They are FREE apart from any postage costs. Will post throughout Ireland, or buyer collects from Ballinlough area of Cork.
  2. Hi - these are gone, I'm afraid. I do have 3 GWR OO gauge locos in the For Sale section, and will consider offers below the asking price for any of them. Martin
  3. Volumes 17 and 18 (2007-2013) of the Gauge 0 Guild Gazette available free to good home! Both volumes are bound into official G0G blue binders. Further loose issues may be available if I find them while unpacking! Buyer to collect from Ballinlough area of Cork, or will mail throughout Ireland for cost of postage.

Hornby R2464 2-8-0 2800 heavy freight tender loco, number 2847 (livery GWR) Will sell all 3 together for 200 Euros, or separately for 75 euros each. Postage extra, at cost. Can post thru Ireland, or buyer can collect from Ballinlough area of Cork. Martin Ball
  5. I have available a Gaugemaster Model DS double track controller with brake simulation. See http://www.hattons.co.uk/9334/Gaugemaster_Controls_DS_Double_power_controller_with_brake_simulator/StockDetail.aspx for description. This is for DC only, cannot operate DCC equipped locos (unless they are dual control). This controller is set up for US 110V input (reason why it's free!), therefore it needs a voltage converter. Luckily, I have a voltage converter which will be included free! While a few years old now, it had very light usage and was operating well last time it was tried (3 years ago). Currently no layout to test it on. I will post (at cost) the controller within Ireland and to GB. but due to the weight of the voltage converter, this item is collect only, from Ballinlough area of Cork City. Martin
  6. These people have now been bought (if you know what I mean!!)

  13. A small number of railway enthusiasts are looking at the possibility of starting a South West Munster Railway Association, in an area restricted to Counties Cork, Kerry, and Limerick (to avoid encroaching on the West Clare Railway and the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway folk). We see this Association as encompassing those interested in Model Railways (including the possibility of a Cork club), Railway History (though of course the IRRS cover this also), and Heritage activities (including a possible short heritage line, and/or locomotive restoration or replica new build, or helping an existing group). We will be happy to include those interested in both 5’3” and 3 foot gauges! (And of course all model scales and gauges!!) The intention is to hold an inaugural meeting in Cork city sometime in October (if there is enough interest expressed at this preliminary stage). If you think this idea for an Association is a good plan, please let me know; also please note whether it is likely that you could attend an inaugural meeting, or just wish to be kept informed of developments. (Also let me know of anyone else I should contact.) If interested, please email me on meiriongwril@gmail.com. Go raibh maith agat! Meiriongwril (aka Martin Ball)
