Power car No 82 had the downward facing horn on the cab front in the early 80s.There is a good photo of it on the front cover of Rail-runabout by Sam Somerville in this guise in the then new grey/maroon livery.It also had the downward horn while in the previous maroon/blue livery,so the horn was not changed during its repaint.The horn was in the usual place on the cab roof when 82 first arrived in 1974,and later photo's in the blue/grey livery show the horns back on the roof.How long the horns were on the cab front for and the reason for it,I don't know.

Yea it is it came back up North on the same day hauling the gen van with it will get pics of the move on mysite later on today

Hopefully inchicore will repair it. I wonder why she was in york road? Or had she been there since the fire perhaps?

9.7.13 221 worked a Dublin to York Road Depot Belfast stock transfer which was the 4 MK3 Gen Vans for the Enterprise .Pics taken in the Portadown Area

Added a few photos taken last Sunday the 12.5.13 of a stock movement which was
NIR 450 Class railcars 8454 & 8459 which had been stored at Belfast Central
Stations Parcel Bay Siding .These 2 railcar sets got hauled to Adelaide Yard
Permanent Way Sidings for scrapping on the 14.513 & 15.5.13 .The sets where
hauled to Adelaide Yard by NIR GM 112 + Gatwick Carriages 941 & 942.

8454 & 8459 got moved to Adelaide Permanent Way Yard from storage at the parcel bay siding at Belfast Central Station on the 12.5.13 by GM 112 + Gatwick carriages 941 & 942 link to pics of the movement
Pics of 8454 & 8459 getting scrapped at Adelaide on the 14.5.13 & 15.5.13 will be added to mysite over the next 48 hrs
8456 got scrapped on the 1.5.13 at Ballymena Permanent Way Yard pics are in the May folder of my website

3.2.13 450 class stock transfer from Belfast Central Station to York Road Depot which involved moving 450 class set 8458 from storage at the old parcel siding at Central Station to York Road Depot GM227+8097+8069+8090 where all involved in the movement of 8458

I do have a camera, unfortunately I was half asleep at the time and so didn't get it on! It said it was delayed due to a signalling problem though, so it probably had to reverse into GVS at Westlink junction.
It was 209 that was at the Dublin end it worked the 08:00 ex Belfast & the 11:00 ex Dublin after a signal failure at Central Junction this morning ,the set got turned after arrival in Belfast on the 11:00 ex Dublin
