  1. The models look the part still have to get mine yet , just reading some of the messages about details on 112 was looking at a few of my photos of 112 taken in the past couple of months and just spotted that 112 has two different sized horns on the cab end mybe Irish Rail replaced one from a bo bo while it was on loan to them.

Dont think i am looking for faults on the models because i am not they are fantastic cant wait to get mine just thought i would let anyone that likes the wee detail bits to know that lol

  2. I'm not sure, I definitely heard and saw an 80 class go past before the 30th...

You saw it what time at & where , dont get me wrong you could be right i am only passing on what the crews tell me and they say Sunday night 30.9.12 was the start of it , there has been crew training runs during the day on the Line Line as far as Whitehead over the last couple of weeks but no night runs till Sunday there

  3. Are you sure the Sandite train was that late? Pretty sure I heard it going past my house a few nights before the 30th!

It started on the 30.9.12 thats the only reason i went out to get the first night train of the season , what time of the night did you hear it at ,remember the the VMT cleaning the rails with water started running a week earlier than the Sandite train

  4. Sunday 30.9.12 Irish Rail railcar 22202 done a clearance run from Dundalk to Belfast York Road Depot & return to Dundalk via Great Victoria Street Station Belfast. This was the first time a 22000 has been up to Northern Ireland since they were introduced into service with Irish Rail in 2007.

  5. All PP 201s are still in service except 216 which has been stripped for parts.

The HEP on 209 is knackered hence why it has not worked on the Enterprise in 2 years and is now the test loco for this setup and putting it back in NIR's pool. The HEP on 234 is damaged and never repaired but since it has no TPWS it's not an issue. I think the HEP on 227 was damaged at the start of this year when it failed and it has not worked on the Enterprise since while all the other TPWS equiped 201s have.

227 was on the 1610 ex Belfast Enterprise with HEP working

  6. I try to keep it to the IR and IE era but any CIE livery gets me

back to the late 70s and early 80s on the Rosslare line and countless

hours at Enniscorthy Station looking at trains. The good old days.

112 came back to NIR on the 1.6.2008

Link to a couple of photos of her running light engine back to Belfast on the 1.6.2008
