Tralee Flat Waggons

[Mallow Junction]

So in the next few days, the Flat wagons in Tralee are to be moved. Paving the way for the restoration of the Turntable for RPSI steam trips.

I assume they are going for the chop. The 52 in Mallow BFS cant be too far behind tho they have been prepared since 2016

I guess the bogies could be reused but the skeletal bodies might well beyond help - with age or perhaps too short for 45 footers  or even 53 footers.  I wonder ( easy with other folks money) if preserving some so a historic freight could be made up at some time in the future to show how CIE used to run freights - some "fallen Flag" containers on them as well..
