There's been some discussion of Rail Tour fares over here in the 'Centre of Britain' and elsewhere with prices into hundreds of pounds in some cases. Whilst looking for a white marker pen (no luck) I came across this leaflet for a Railtour 150  which ran on Summer Saturdays in 1975 to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway.

146 miles for 5 hours of travel for £1-50 (kids 75P)!

A bargain but unfortunately now I don't remember much about the trip nor did I have a camera, just probably one or two bottles of Newcastle Broon Ale.
