Bowaters Models Irish Range

Time for the big one now the show page is live (see the link below!). New from Bowaters Models and will be released at some point this today/tomorrow are the CIÉ/GSRI coaches in 1:32 scale to run with our new 141 and 611 class diesels!! Covering 5 different Great Southern Railway of Ireland coaches and a suitable CIÉ steam heat/generator van for diesel haulage, these are the first Gauge one Irish Standard gauge models in active ‘mass’ production.

Pricing will be the same as our SR Maunsells for the GSR non Pullman coaches (£90 in MDF and £110 in plywood), the Pullman will be £155 in plywood only, the Dutch Van will be £80 in MDF and £100 in plywood. We will also be offering a train pack with the 141 and 611.

All kits come complete with bogies, couplings and buffers only requiring glazing (available separately), paint, decals and glue to complete! And yes, for those who’d like one, yes we can supply the Dutch van with one ‘Pullman’ gangway (to suit mark 2s) and one British standard gangway.

These are the first of three starter ranges for the Irish side. The others being NCC coaches (once we have the design nailed down) and some suitable freight wagons! Full details of both to follow soon!

The coaches are on display on the stand at the National garden railway show at Peterborough UK so if you can make it, come and say hello! I’m sure a trip across the Irish Sea could be arranged if things keep growing the way they are!
