Westcorkrailway Posted October 28 Author Posted October 28 (edited) Hello all We are having our 4th annual Swap meet in the Ballincollig Oriel House hotel. We will have NEARLY 50 trade stands this year in a bigger room than last year. From Trains to Cars and Tractors , If you need some Chrismas gifts. be sure to come down to Ballincollig for some serious Bargains. Edited October 28 by Westcorkrailway 1 Quote
Westcorkrailway Posted November 2 Author Posted November 2 As we have so many interested in the event, we thought we would give you an update on the scale of our Swap Meet in 2024. -The room compared to last year will be double the size of the previous year -We have not quite doubled the amount of people attending (still 50 tables!) but this is to allow more space as that was the major feedback with last years event. We at the swap meet Team love to hear what you feel could be improved as it helps us decide what to bring to the table. -There will be only a few layouts. The rest will be trade tables. We are less them 1 month away from our event….so get your Christmas stockings open! Thanks The Swap Meet Team 4 Quote

Westcorkrailway Posted November 28 Author Posted November 28 Some info for those attending Travel options Car If you’re coming from Waterford or Dublin. It’s very easy, through the jack lunch tunnel and keep following the N40 road. A exit for ballincollig will appear.once you arrive in ballincollig. There is both overground and underground parking at the oriel which is on the west side of the town centre, but if this does not suffice (it often does not) parking is available at nearby public parking (free) train once you arrive at Kent station walk to cork city hall and board either the 220 or 220x Bus. You stop is “Ballincollig town C” which is right outside Tesco on the west side of town. Walking west for 2 minutes and you will be outside the door. 2 Quote
Newtoncork Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Had a great few hours at the swap. Full of enthusiastic people and managed to pick myself up a few NIR resprayed LIMA models. Some great bargains there. Our Guide Dog pup got a lot of attention, which he loved! 5 Quote

Westcorkrailway Posted December 1 Author Posted December 1 A superb show, quite simply a great success. The room was perfect, tables were good, plenty of space. Happy to report we narrowly broke even (enough to buy 3 or 4 pints!!!!!) I’d like to thank Kevin meany and Mark Dunlea for putting the event on, as well stewards Richie, Brendan and Cathal. 3 Quote
